'She Way Out'

Forever 21 Laser Cut Top
Primark Anklet

Long time no speak. Can't believe I can now say I have finished my first year of university - I have genuinely loved it and can't believe how much I have enjoyed it and made some amazing friends. I have really struggled to keep up to date with my blog but now I have 4 months off so I have no excuses...
Bit of a random outfit anyway. But had to share these heels from New Look. They're not too high, comfortable (so far) and well they don't look too bad either, even on my ugly feet (my picture really doesn't do them justice)

'Roll With It'

I've decided that I'm banning myself from pattern. As much as I love patterns, when you have a wardrobe full of them, it makes pieces looking good together very difficult. So when I saw these gorgeous crepe cigarette trousers from ASOS I knew they would be a good staple piece, for both the summer and winter. I thought they weren't too bad for £25 either. And of course another high neck top was needed wasn't it...

'Settle Down' | Topshop £12 Black Cami Dress

So this is a bit of a different post for me. I brought this £12 Black Cami Dress from Topshop a few days back whilst I was on my placement there and had no idea what to wear with it. So I thought I would try a few outfits in one post - let me know in the comments which ones you like or your favourite I would love to know. All outfit details are below and let me know if you like this kind of post.
Follow me on Instagram along the sidebar if you want to see more up-to-date pictures of both my work placement at Topshop and any new clothing or makeup items I buy.
Thanks for reading and another outfit is coming up soon,

'Living for The Weekend'

Topshop Knitted Jumper
Primark White Sleeveless Blazer
Primark Sandals

So my 3 week placement at Topshop has ended :( I had the most amazing time and it really is such a great brand to be involved with (check out my instagram sarah_bowater to see some pictures!) but of course it meant that I was around clothes for 8 hours a day - and I'm talking nice clothes too - not good for my student budget.

This post is a mishmash of two different outfits I could possibly wear, one for comfort, and the other one if I'm feeling brave. I've never worn (or been confident enough to wear) a bralet before but this navy blue one caught my eye straight away. I put this lovely knit-like jumper over it which is slouchy and so comfy, but thought this white sleeveless Primark blazer would look nice over it too. The sandals are a bargain of £14 and are so comfortable to wear and I seriously struggle to find comfy shoes these days. I love this little pink gingham headband too - again I'm not normally confident enough to wear stuff like this but I'm going to give it a go!

Don't forget to check out my Instagram and Twitter (both accounts are sarah_bowater) for more updates and let me know whether you like the outfits in the comments.

'Iron Sky'

Topshop White Top (not on website yet)
Primark Jelly Shoes (£4)
Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch (review here)

Before I start, I just want to say yes, I know I'm wearing jelly shoes, but I have no intention in wearing them out, just when I'm on holiday, but I thought they finished off this outfit particularly well (and they remind me of my older sisters pink glitter Barbie jelly heels which I was so jealous of as a child - ha now I have my own pair! Over 10 years too late though ... and yes, I had a haircut - a serious hair cut. I was getting sick of having my hair so limp and flat and heavy, so I decided to go for it and have it the shortest its ever been. I definitely have not got used to it yet, but it's already so much easier to handle and part of me does want my long hair back, but we always want what we haven't got I suppose!

So tomorrow I'm starting my 3 week work placement at Topshop and I have got to think of outfits that are pretty much all Topshop, hence the nearly all Topshop outfit. I got this top on friday from the Folklore trend (I've been swotting up :) ) and I just think the relaxed fit will make it comfortable to work in and I love the pattern on the front. Now, the treggings. I have a love hate relationship with these. I love them when I see people wearing them, but I just think they do attract attention - and I'm not sure in a good way. Let me know in the comments anyway - and I would love to know what you think about my hair and the jelly shoes of course :)

I'm not sure how much blogging I will be doing around the next few weeks as I am blogging my time at Topshop as part of my course, but unfortunately this is privated (hopefully I will make it public after the marking so you can read it!)

Thanks for Reading and follow me on Instagram and Twitter: sarah_bowater for more updates and pictures on my next few weeks working at Topshop!
Hope you like the outfit!

'Pick A Part That's New'

Topshop Coat (similar jacket here)
Topshop Necklace
Michael Kors MK-5128 Rose Gold Plated Chronograph Watch (review here)

I picked up this lovely White Turtleneck from Forever 21 yesterday, and for £11.50 it is such good quality (I brought a size large which is perfect - a small would have been way too tight!). I wore it with my old season Topshop jacket which I think works well, and they have actually used this material in a new style jacket this season (link above). Naturally I wore my grey Joni Jeans which I have lived in for the past two weeks - I'm probably going to end up getting them in all the colours - they now have them in a cropped leg style now (see here).

My uni Visual Merchandising project is coming to an end, so if you want to see it, check out my Instagram and Twitter for pictures (username is sarah_bowater) or links on the sidebar.

'Settle Down' | BeautyUK Posh Palette in No.2 Masquerade

I'm not normally one to go out and buy a beauty product without knowing anything about it - especially one on the cheaper side. I usually spend many weeks reading blog reviews, debating whether it's worth it, whether I will use it, whether it will cause me any problems e.g. sore eyes, breakouts etc. etc. But I saw this in Superdrug and fell in love with the colours. I hadn't ever brought any Beauty UK Products and hadn't heard about them on blogs, (I may be missing something here though) but for £5.99 I thought I would just give it a try.
The colours are beautiful and pigmented; a really good basics palette for everyday. My favourite, as pictured, is this lovely 'berryish' colour which is on the bottom row, second from the left. They are really easy to blend and I think they look just like something MAC has to offer. The neutral shades will be perfect for everyday use, but there are enough colours to really stand out when you want to make an impact.

'No Regrets'

H&M TRENCH COAT // PRIMARK TURTLENECK // TOPSHOP JONI JEANS IN GREY // TOPSHOP NECKLACE

Don't worry - you haven't warped back to the 70's, it's definitely 2014, my 'dress sense' just hasn't seemed to get there yet. This beautiful trench coat is from H&M and for £24.99 I seriously couldn't resist - no regrets. I recently picked up my second pair of Joni Jeans in grey (what else!) and I'm in love. They are so comfortable and flattering (which is a rare mix to find) and they go with pretty much anything. Again this Primark turtleneck is rearing its 'ugly' head - I think at £3 it's already paid for itself, and it's surprisingly good quality.

Uni is hectic at the moment - who knew designing a shop window would be so difficult! (if you want to see some of my inspiration pictures, have a look at my Pinterest page here). Also check out my Twitter and Instagram accounts (username is sarah_bowater) for regular updates!

'Better Together'

H&M Black & White Striped Turtleneck £7.99

So I did a guest post yesterday for the lovely Lizzie over at Head-full-of-flowers so after you have read this go and check that out here and follow her while you're there! I posted about the new Primark P.S. Love makeup range with swatches and how I apply etc etc.

This little turtleneck over here is £7.99! I just think turtlenecks make you look like you have put a lot of effort into your outfit, even when you really haven't - and this material is amazing quality for the price. I love this faux leather jacket from Internacionale that I picked up last week too - I can't say I have even stepped foot in this store before but they had this jacket on the mannequin and I loved the length of it - much more flattering than a short one I think! And of course I had to wear my trusted Joni Jeans, I pretty much wear them on a daily basis, I'm considering buying the grey pair next :/

Can we just all stop and appreciate the beautiful rose gold bangle I picked up from Black Tied a few weeks back. It's so beautiful and definitely go and check it out on their website here. For reference my lipstick here is the Revlon Lip Butter (naturally :) ) in 001 Pink Truffle (it's quite sad that I didn't even need to check that either!)

P.S On another note I have just secured a work placement with Topshop in March which I'm so excited to share with you what I have done afterwards! If you're interested I post photos of what I do on my course on my Instagram and Twitter so if you would like to see my user is sarah_bowater. I also did Visual Merchandising in Selfridges Birmingham last week which was an amazing experience and I have a few pics on there of what I did.

'We Close Our Eyes' | Maybelline Brow Drama

So, my eyebrows are the one thing everyone makes comments about: "I can't believe your eyebrows are so dark even though you're a blonde" etc etc etc. They are ridiculously big and dark, but we have to work with what we've got I suppose! I usually do nothing but comb them in the mornings but I had being eyeing this up since it was first released. I tried the Benefit one and couldn't move my face it stuck my eyebrows together so much and I really wasn't a fan, but I thought for £4.99 I would finally give this one a go.
Well, let's just say I love it. It doesn't make your eyebrows 'crunchy' and doesn't give it too much colour, which is perfect for what I want in a brow 'mascara'. My brows are quite thick so this really holds them together, but I can't say how good it would be for other types of brows but I honestly would give it a try if you want something subtle for your brows on one of those 'late' mornings which I'm certainly having frequently at the moment!
